Chronic Pain Self-Management Program
Class schedule
Gain the skills you need to help manage your pain.
Chronic pain can be debilitating. If you are dealing with it, our program can help you develop skills to manage it so that you can get on with your life.
Chronic pain impacts your life physically and emotionally.
Chronic pain is pain that lasts six months or longer. It not only impacts a person physically, but also alters a person’s ability to plan for day-to-day challenges. This evidence-based program can help you gain the skills to manage these issues in coordination with your health care team.
Self-management classes are interactive and informative.
We offer both in-person and virtual classes so you can choose what works best for you. You will be able to interact with the instructor and others as you learn about ways to deal with your particular health issue effectively. Don’t put off taking care of your health. Sign up for a class today.
Participants will learn:
- Techniques to deal with problems such as frustration, fatigue, isolation, and poor sleep
- Appropriate exercises for maintaining and improving strength, flexibility, and endurance
- Appropriate use of medications
- How to communicate effectively with family, friends, and health professionals
- Nutrition tips
